Political consultations between Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan and the UAE

On March 5, 2019, were held political consultations in the city of Abu Dhabi between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the United Arab Emirates at the level of deputy foreign ministers.
The delegation of Tajikistan was led by the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nizomiddin Zohidi, and the delegation of the United Arab Emirates was headed by the Deputy Minister, Khalifa Shohin al-Marar.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the development of relations between Tajikistan and the UAE in such areas as politics, economics, trade and investment, industry, agriculture, education and science, culture, humanitarian cooperation, strengthening cooperation in the framework of international and regional organizations.
The parties stressed the important role of the Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic and Technical Cooperation in the implementation of joint projects, and reaffirmed the readiness of the parties to further expand cooperation in various fields.
